St Katherine's is so named to preserve the historical memory of Hidelow, which was bequeathed to the St. Katherine's Trust in the year 1240. Hidelow remained in the possession of the St. Katherine's Trust until we purchased it from them in 1993. The neighbouring farm and the Almshouses in Ledbury still remain in the ownership of the Trust.
Converted from former stone and timber calf pens, St. Katherine's Cottage is full of character. It has a wealth of exposed timbers and king-pin trusses inside, which still bear the original carpenter's marks. It is very spacious, all on one level and has no steps or ramps, with its own parking area and entrance through a covered porch.
St Katherine's has all the facilities needed for a couple seeking a luxury self-catering holiday. It is carpeted throughout and has full central heating. The bedroom has a 6-foot super-king bed (or optional twin beds); the walk-in shower room has a thermostatically controlled shower and is en-suite.The lounge has a 2-seater sofa and 2 chairs, plus a wood-burning stove, colour TV with Freeview, video and DVD/CD players.
There is WiFi (Wireless Internet) access in the cottage. |
