Luxury Wheelchair Accessible cottage - Visit England Graded 5 Star
National Accessible Scheme Graded M3(I)
Katherine's Cottage is so named to preserve the history of Hidelow, which was bequeathed to St. Katherine's Hospital, Ledbury in the year 1240. Hidelow remained in the Hospital's ownership for over 750 years, until we purchased it in 1993. The neighbouring farm and the Almshouses in Ledbury still belong to the Hospital and are administered by the Diocesan Office at Hereford Cathedral.
Converted from former stone and timber calf pens, Katherine's Cottage is full of character. It has a wealth of exposed timbers and king-pin trusses inside, which still bear the original carpenter's marks. It is very spacious, all on one level and has no steps or ramps, with its own parking area and entrance through a covered porch.
Katherine's Cottage has all the facilities needed for a couple seeking a luxury self-catering holiday.
The lounge has a 2-seater sofa, 2 chairs and a wood-burning stove, 32 inch HD Ready LCD flat screen TV with integral Freeview and radio, DVD/CD player and Ipod docking station.
