See what the Travel Editor of The Independent on Sunday said about us when she stayed here

Hidelow Lodge 14th to 20th July 2007

"Dear Pauline, There are four adults in our party, one of whom, my wife, is disabled with M.S. We have travelled the world and never before been offered such an excellent service. We very much look forward to our stay with you."

Terry, Kent

Hidelow Lodge 7th to 14thJuly 2007

We all enjoyed our week in Hidelow Lodge during July; everything was so perfect for Ann she can't wait to come again. We as a family have had many attempts to find a suitable holiday home for all of us and at last we have found somewhere which ticks all our boxes. See you again next year (deposit cheque enclosed).

Barbara, Stoke-on-Trent.

The Tithe Barn June 2007

"Had a really fab time here with the girls for my hen weekend. Garden was perfect, pampering great, as was the wine tasting!"

Anne

Drying House June 2007

"A wonderful retreat. After working with large numbers of children in local schools, The Drying House was the perfect place to come back to in the evenings. I will never forget writing my new scary, spooky book 'Moonwailer' with the most dramatic thunder and lightning bouncing around across the field outside my window! Look forward to returning next year. Thanks for everything."

Hidelow Lodge June 2007

"What a pleasure to find accommodation so comfortable and so suitable (one of us is a paraplegic). So much to see around here and so close."

Verity and Evelyn, Sydney. Clare, Zambia.

The Tithe Barn May 2007

"Thank you for a wonderful break. The cottage was perfect for our needs and the boys were delighted to find the stash of toys under the stairs as well as being able to play outside and roam the fields.

Very comfortable home from home - only regret is we could not stay longer.

Hope to be back again with friends and family."

The Cross Family, Norfolk.

Hop Pocket May 2007

"This break was fantastic. The cottage is lovely and clean, and it is so romantic.

The surrounding area is so beautiful and peaceful, yet there is so much to do.

Thank you for all the little homely touches."

Matt and Sarah, Margate, Kent.

Hidelow Lodge April 2007

"On our last night - a lovely sunset. What a perfect ending to our short holiday. Wonderful weather and a superb cottage have made this a time all of us will remember with fondness. The facilities were great for Mum and Dad, and the garden for our son.

Here's hoping we can return one day."

The Anthistle Family.

Hop Pocket January 2007

"Just what we were looking for. A really comfortable and spacious cottage with so much character. This is such a beautiful part of England, we will be sure to return in the near future. THe little shop was a lifesaver, when our wine ran out and to hire the odd movie (what a great idea!!) Thanks a lot."

Greg and Nicola, London.

Hidelow Lodge 3rd to 10th June 2006

"I wanted to take my Mum and Dad on holiday but my requirements seemed difficult to fulfil.

Mum has Alzheimers and mobility problems – Dad is her carer and badly needed a break and to be looked after.

I needed somewhere quiet where Mum didn't have to face many people; she sits a lot so needed to be able to look out on a nice garden with a view (dad loves gardens too); we could only travel about 2 hours from their home; Mum needed a walk in shower room; ideally I wanted two bathrooms; Dad didn't want me to be cooking and shopping all the time so we needed somewhere that could provide wholesome ready cooked meals on site.

Hidelow Lodge was the only place I could find that fulfilled all these criteria – and it did so to a very high standard.  We were all delighted with everything at Hidelow, especially the food and the wonderfully peaceful surroundings. The weather was brilliant too !! (1st week in June 2006)

Needless to say we're coming back this year - we've booked the same week again so let's hope the weather is as good – I know at least that the cottage will be excellent."

Sally, West Yorkshire

St Katherine's -  23rd to 26th June 2006

"Dear Pauline and Stuart, I want to say how much we enjoyed our few days in St Katherine's Cottage. The excellently designed accommodation gave us a holiday in more ways than one. At home I have to sleep downstairs so it was a great relief to have everything on one floor. We greatly enjoyed the view from all the windows as well - especially the sheep. We certainly hope to stay with you again, for longer next time."

Gary, Dorset

St Katherine's & The Drying House - 19th to 26th August 2005

"Dear Pauline, I would like to thank you for the relaxed and friendly reception and continued support that combined with the first class accommodation and facilities, made our stay so enjoyable. As a health professional with more than 25 years experience in supporting people with disabilities, I have rarely found holiday facilities that can compare with those provided by your good selves.

Whilst offering the warmest thanks on behalf of the clients and management of South Birmingham Primary Care Trust I would like to take the opportunity to offer my personal endorsement of your enterprise. I can and will recommend Hidelow House Cottages as a first rate holiday venue."

R. A. Evans RNMH

Hidelow Lodge - 16th to 30th July 2005

"Congratulations on your awards. You both really deserve them. Yours are certainly the most wheelchair user - friendly places we have visited and we really appreciated the attention to detail, hence 3 weeks hopefully next year. PS. Best wishes to Elaine."

Angela and Brenda

"Have had a lovely rest. We appreciate all you've done. Delicious meals. Thank you."

Richard & Priscilla I., Devon

Hopbine, The Hop Pocket & St. Katherine's - 30th October to 6th November 2004

"We came with the family for a week and rented 3 small cottages. As always, they were up to Premier Cottages standards - home from home and beautifully refurbished and fitted out. We had Pauline's meals on the first night, which were lovely and went on long walks every day with our 2 dogs. The Malvern Hills were the best - superb views! We will definitely come to Worcestershire and Hidelow again!"

Sarah & Michael J., W.Yorkshire.

The Hop Pocket - New Year 2005

"Idyllic location for a romantic getaway. Cottage very warm, cosy and more than we expected. Walks at Brockhampton Estate Common were very enjoyable. Thank you Pauline and Stuart for a brilliant stay and will see you again very soon. Happy New Year for 2005!"

Kevin & Helen H., Gwent.

The Hop Pocket - 14th to 18th February 2005

"A great relaxing holiday - the cottage and all the buildings lovely and clean and well maintained. A credit to its owners. I must comment and say very pleased with the prices of food, wine and cost of the break. Normally a rip-off "but not here". Many thanks for a great time to all the staff, animals and oh yes! and the owners! See you all again."

Malcolm and Susan T., South Wales.

Hidelow Lodge 16th to 23rd April 2005

"A very comfortable and relaxing week. Accommodation, equipment and hospitality worth every star!"

John & Jean T., Wales.

Hidelow Lodge 23rd to 29th December 2004

"We have had a very enjoyable week... the Lodge is perfect for Matthew as he has space to get around in his wheelchair. The shower room made life very simple - it was really like being at home. We even had snow on Christmas Day!" - (Sorry folks - coincidence only - no guarantees on the weather front, I'm afraid! - Pauline)

Dougie, Jenny and Matthew, Sittingbourne.

Hidelow Lodge 3rd to 10th April 2004

"Being the main wheelchair user in our party, I found that getting in, out and around The Lodge was effortless. Pauline, Stuart and Elaine are 3 very special people - competent, efficient and, most importantly, they care! Nothing is too much trouble. And those dogs are wonderful".

Keith, Carol and Audrey, Blackpool.
